Mrs. Emily Quin is the Orchestra Director at Pike Middle School. She grew up in Flower Mound, Texas where she began playing violin at age 10 privately and then joined Orchestra in 6th grade. Mrs. Quin holds a bachelors degree in music education, specializing in string pedagogy, from Hardin-Simmons University where she studied violin under Dr. Peter Isaacson. While at HSU, she taught private lessons at Abilene ISD and performed in the HSU Orchestra.

Under Mrs. Quin's direction, her groups have received consistent "Sweepstakes" ratings at UIL competitions and music festivals across the state, numerous "Best in Class" and "Outstanding Orchestra" awards. Mrs. Quin's students are frequently the top performing students in All-Region Orchestras and Solo & Ensemble competitions. She is a member of Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Orchestra Directors Association.
