Greetings, Panther Families!
These first nine weeks have been about much more than grades. Our students have been learning new routines, building relationships, taking on challenges, growing through mistakes, and finding their place here at Pike. We have also spent a lot of time reinforcing what it means to show Pride, Integrity, Knowledge, and Excellence in the way we learn, treat others, and represent our school.
We have one week left in first quarter, and I hope our students take a moment to recognize how much they have already grown and think about what they want the rest of this year to look like. We are proud of the start we have made together, and there is still a lot of good work ahead!

Oct. 6 - Camo Spirit Day
Oct. 6 - Parent Teacher Conference Night 1 from 4:30 - 7:30
Oct. 6 - Pike Football (7th v. Tidwell @ NHS, 8th v. Tidwell @ Texan Stadium)
- 5:00 PM - B Team, with A Team starting immediately after the conclusion of B Team
Oct. 7 - Pike Cross Country Zone Meet at Pike
- Order of Running...8th Boys, 8th Girls, 7th Boys, 7th Girls
Oct. 8 - PANTHER DAY!!!
Oct. 8 - Pike Volleyball (7th v. Tidwell, 8th @ Tidwell)
- C Team starts at 5:00 PM, followed by B-Team, then A-Team. Estimated time for B is 6:00 PM, and A is 7:00 PM, but that could vary depending on the previous games.
Oct. 9 - NO SCHOOL - STAFF and STUDENT HOLIDAY
Oct. 12 - NO SCHOOL for STUDENTS…STAFF Planning Day
Oct. 13 - Pike Football (7th @ Chisholm Trail, 8th v. Chisholm Trail @ NHS)
- 5:00 PM - B Team, with A Team starting immediately after the conclusion of B Team
Oct. 13 - Steele Early College High School Showcase
- 6:00 pm - 7:30pm @ Steele Early College High School
Oct. 14 - CTE Academy Night
- 6:00 pm - 7:30pm @ Eaton High School
Oct. 15 - Red Out Day

Parent Teacher Conferences |
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 6, October 21, and October 27 from 4:30–7:30 p.m.
If you have a concern or would like to meet with one or more of your student’s teachers, please email the teacher directly. Teachers will be scheduling their conference times and will follow up with families to arrange a phone, Zoom, or in-person meeting as available.
Because many of our teachers serve close to 200 students, conference times during these evenings will need to be scheduled based on student needs and availability. Our goal is to make sure families who need a conversation have an opportunity to connect, while allowing teachers to use the available conference time as effectively as possible.

STEELE EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL SHOWCASE NIGHT 2026
Tuesday, October 13th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

High School Boundaries Proposed for 2027-2028 |
Northwest ISD will conduct high school rezoning to create an attendance boundary for Davis High School and best balance enrollment in 2027-2028. This rezoning will affect the boundaries of all high schools, and community input will be taken to consider potential revisions to the boundary proposal. Fine Arts Programs Impress at NISD Band Showcase |
Bands from Byron Nelson High School, Eaton High School and Northwest High School, along with all eight district middle school bands, took over the Northwest ISD Stadium field for the NISD Band Showcase earlier this week — an unforgettable night of music!
The high school marching bands performed on the field throughout the evening, with middle school bands performing between sets before all bands came together for an incredible grand finale! Thanks to all the spectators who attended to support these talented students. Photos from the event can now be seen on the district Flickr account.
Voter Registration for November Election Ends October 5 |
Have you moved or changed your name? There are several local and state elections coming up on the November 3 ballot. The deadline to register to vote is October 5. Check your voter registration status, update your information, and access a voter registration card at www.votetexas.gov. Early Voting will be October 19 to 30, and Election Day is November 4. Your vote counts!
