Monday:
- Cross country meet home
- Tennis vs. CTMS at NHS
Tuesday:
- Spirit day ** Neon day**
- Football vs Tidwell 7th at NHS, 8th Big NISD stadium
Wednesday:
- NHS homecoming parade down Texan drive!
- Texan will be shut down around 5:00 PM
- Red, White and Blue in honor of 9/11
Thursday:
- Wear you NEW SPIRIT shirt!
Friday:
- Picture day!
- Solid colors photo best, no hats/mask allowed for photo.
- You will receive a link to purchase after photos are taken.
- NHS homecoming football game.

Picture day:
- Friday is picture day. Each grade will go during the following classes:
- 6th- PE
- 7th- ELA
- 8th- CCE
- You will receive an email with proofs for purchasing.
- No hats mask will be allowed for photo. Solid colors, shirts with sleeves photograph best.
Morning tutorials:
- Teachers provide tutorials in the morning from 8:00- 8:40.
- Students need to be dropped off in the front, ring the bell and let the office know they are there for tutorials.
- Students will enter and wait in the library for the teacher to pick them up.
- Please make sure you have contacted the teacher and set up tutorials prior to dropping off.
Restroom vandals:
- We have had a few students boys/girls decide to toilet paper the restrooms, throw wet toilet paper on the stalls and write on the stalls.
- This behavior will not be tolerated and students will have consequences as stated in the Student code of Conduct.
- Please talk with your students about showing respect to the building.
Open House:
- Next week Thursday Sept. 19th from 5:30- 7:00.
- PTA meeting at 6:00 in the cafeteria followed by a Guest speaker about Suicide Awareness.
- Open house is a time to see your Panthers classroom, journals, work samples ect.
- If you are concerned or need to talk to a teacher in depth please consider scheduling a parent conference.
Dance:
Our first dance of the year will be on Friday, September 27th.
Cost:
Tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase in the office starting September 23rd.
Time:
The dance will take place in the Pike cafeteria from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM. Students can wait afterschool outside prior to the start of the dance.
Dress:
Casual attire is recommended.
Students will have the option to change in the restrooms if needed. Bags will be stored in the gym during the dance.
Ticket Limit:
We will only be selling 550 tickets. Students who are PTA members will have early access to purchase a ticket.

IDs:
- Students need to have their IDs and SmartTags at all times.
- Students will be able to charge once then it must be paid before a new charge can be made.
- Students without ID will be offered Sun butter and jelly for lunch, and toast/juice for breakfast.
