8th Grade Clap out:

• May 23rd
• Starts around 12:40- 12:55
• One last walk around the building for our 8th graders!
• Parents can check in and wait inside or line up outside.

2025 Senior Walk information

• Gene Pike Middle School would like to invite our former Panthers for a Senior Celebration and Class Walk.
• Seniors can come to door 1, the main entrance. You should arrive between 8:15-8:30. You will then be directed to the library where your former teachers will be there to congratulate you and have time for pictures. 
• Once we release all of our students to class, we will start the Class of 2025 Walk.
• We ask that the parents of the Seniors line up outside of door 24, near the gymnasium, to form a line on both sides (if you plan on attending), to congratulate them as they walk out of Pike.
• Parking is available in front of the school between Pike and the Mcreary Multipurpose gym, old Pike gym.

Prohibited items at school:

• Blankets
• Stuffed animals
• Water guns, balloons, noise makers, confetti etc.  

The following behaviors will not be tolerated on our campus:

• Fighting
• Threatening to fight
• Instigating or encouraging others to fight

Please take a moment to speak with your Panther about the seriousness of these behaviors and the importance of making safe, respectful choices.

Pike Field day:

• PTA will be hosting a Pike Field day on Wednesday May 21st.
• This is in place of our Panther day that we have at the end of each quarter.
• Students who have been assigned ISS/OSS or DAEP since March 24th will not be allowed to participate.

8th Grade dance:

• Pike PTA is hosting our 8th grade dance on Friday May 2nd from 6:30- 8:30.
• Any 8th grader who has been assigned ISS/OSS or DAEP since March 24th will not be allowed to attend.

NISD dive camp:

• Mark your calendar for June 2nd-5th 1:30- 3:30 at NISD Aquatic Center
• Cost is $70

Missed ordering a yearbook:

We will have a limited number of extra yearbooks available for purchase!

Here’s how it will work:

• Students may sign up to enter a drawing for a chance to purchase a yearbook.
• Each student who signs up will receive a ticket.
• A random drawing will be held to select buyers.
• Students do not need to be present to win.
• Payment must be submitted by 4:10 PM on the day of the drawing or another ticket will be drawn.
