Thank You, Panther Families,
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Panther families for your support last week as we addressed some incidents involving unacceptable student behavior. Our staff responded immediately and without hesitation to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
We are especially grateful to the parents who reached out with words of encouragement—whether through phone calls, emails, or supportive messages on social media. Your partnership means the world to us, and we’re proud to be part of a community that stands together.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, let’s finish strong. Please continue to remind your Panther that at Pike, the expectations are clear: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Your continued support at home helps reinforce these values and makes a lasting difference.
Rumors
- We want to remind our school community that when concerns or rumors arise—whether through students, parents, or social media—our team takes them seriously and investigates thoroughly to ensure everyone's safety and well-being.
- While we are committed to transparency, we are equally committed to maintaining a calm and respectful environment. We encourage you to reach out to the school directly with any questions or concerns rather than relying on secondhand information.
Dismissal Procedures
Starting Friday, we began implementing a slightly different dismissal routine to prioritize student and staff safety.
- Car riders and walkers will be dismissed at the usual time.
- Bus riders will be called down as their bus arrives, rather than all at once.
Please note that this change may cause a slight delay for bus riders in the afternoon, but safety remains our top priority.
Bus Behavior
We also want to remind everyone that appropriate behavior is expected on all school buses.
- Buses are equipped with video cameras, and footage will be reviewed if issues arise.
- At this point in the school year, students are fully aware of behavioral expectations.
- Inappropriate behavior will result in the loss of bus privileges.
8th grade Science STAAR
- All 8th graders will be taking their science STAAR on Thursday!
- Students please make sure to bring a CHARGED Chromebook.
- We will be a closed campus starting at 8:50.
